Blue Skies

Morfa Conwy is looking particularly beautiful today, tide out, tidal pools filled with mirror-still water, and above us, the bluest of skies.

It’s strange to suddenly find ourselves in the warmth of summer temperatures with the rare sight of the sun shining. The song that comes immediately to mind is Blue Skies by Irving Berlin, one of the most famous renditions being that of Ella Fitzgerald.
(Two other songs are considered: Little white fluffy clouds  by The Orb, and one I’d never heard of, Fish on the Sand by George Harrison.   The latter would be an apt title for the rather sad image in extras, a dead shark of some sort - possibly a dog fish- washed up on the beach.)

Other than that, it’s another visit to G’s mum. She’s decided it’s time to move from her supported living facility to a residential home, although she has all the care and support needed to stay where she is. So there’s now the task of finding one that’s both suitable and available. Fortunately, we’re not alone in this task , supported by G’s brother and his wife. We’re both away for the weekend, so it’s something we’ll return to next week.

Tomorrow, London and a full weekend ……
