I Hope I Get It (Pt 2)

Second night of auditions for Blackadder. Not quite as many as last night but, again, a mix of old and new faces. With fewer auditionees, we didn’t have to run the scenes as many times as last night, so we finished in good time to go for a drink in the pub afterwards.
Now the hard work starts for the Production Committee. With so many people applying for only a few available roles there are going to be some disappointed people out there. Only those who have got a part will be phoned with the news. Because of the numbers involved, the unsuccessful people will receive an email with some feedback.
Intriguingly, one of our number received a phone call whilst we were in the pub. They refused to say if they had got a part - they wouldn’t even confirm that the phone call was about the show! We in the “core cast” have our suspicions, but will have to wait until the read through next Tuesday - when the full cast will be revealed - to see if those suspicions are correct!
Can’t wait to get started on the rehearsal process now.
