Usually, when I post a photograph of plants and flowers against a stone wall, it's in the front garden. This, unusually, is a photograph of the plants in the side garden, which is still quite a mess, but which shows well at this time of year, with some really well established perennials. We've got Pyrenean lilies, which I featured last year, what I think are Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus, and in the background the very blousy peony, which is about to burst forth (we inherited all three of these plants). Finally in the foreground, there is Polemonium Lambrook Mauve, which was doing too well in the back garden raised beds and had to be moved to stop it taking over. In its more or less original form as purchased, it can be seen on the bottom right of this blip. Although it is reputed to like sun, it seems quite happy on the north side of this house. It has grown more since it was moved.

Another working from Tain day, with quite a few meetings. In addition, I managed a short walk (mainly to collect a cheeky Harry Gow for lunch) and then a peloton workout.

It is no warmer, and it has rained today. It may, just may, get a bit warmer tomorrow.
