Grindsbrook Clough

In less than a week it will be the Solstice, and MrM pointed out that we should be making the most of the lighter evenings before the "nights start drawing in" again! So late afternoon, after the wind died down and the rain had stopped, we decided on an evening walk in Edale. After a very pleasant drive down, and we ate a picnic tea before starting our walk up the Grinds Brook track. It's a very pretty valley, and maybe we'll go back one day and walk to the end of the valley and up the hill to Kinder Scout. But we didn't have time (or energy, in my case) to go very far today, just over 2.5km before turning back.

A quick half at the pub in Edale before going back home.

Extra shows Mam Tor from the Grinds Brook track.
