Look Who Came Knocking...

a Northern Flicker...I have never had one in the garden before, let alone at my patio door, so it was quite a treat! And..how fortunate that I happened to be lounging on my sofa at the time! Sometimes there are rewards for laziness....

Actually I was recuperating..I had been out in said garden with a shovel digging up not just evil weed, but errant ferns and monster thistles...That did me in...totally...I really do need a gardener...
