At Last!

I'm back at the cottage! It was an overwhelmingly busy couple of days to get ready to come, but here I am!  Whew!  Packing up and arranging all that needs to be arranged to leave Maggie and the house and garden once again, wore me out! But I am here...tired, but looking forward to the next two weeks relaxing here on our little island. What a change that will be from Toulouse!

My daughter and SIL are here so that has made arrival much easier than usual - no need to book a boat taxi, lots of help lugging everything to the boat and then from the boat to the cottage! Menu plans had already been made..basic groceries already here.. AND - a  new wifi system installed that promises to be much more reliable than the one we had last summer; even so, I am still back-blipping!  I may never get caught up, but will try...

Once I got settled in, there was time to relax on the dock..no swimming yet, just sitting..Saw three deer on the shore of our back bay, a mink, the heron, and a pair of ducks too...The birds are all back..as is at least one of our chipmunks...he is back to his old habit of climbing up on your lap and begging for treats..Fingers crossed that that the other two survived the winter as well.

It is good to visit with my daughter and SIL;  I have not seen them for quite a while. They are leaving here on Saturday and from then on I will be on my own here..My brother is not far away if help is needed..his cottage is only a couple of miles away on another island. So, after all the hurly burly of an overseas vacation, I will have solitude..
