Botanical. Gardens

E, A and I set off for the Botanical Gardens, up into the mountains by taxi. The Gardens are set in a valley with the entrance at the top. The advice to wear proper shoes was well taken as was my decision to borrow a walking pole as the paths were steep and uneven.

We started at 11 but E had to give up after about 30 mins. A, who said she was a fast walker ended up lagging as she found it hard going and she took ages taking loads of pictures..The temperature at the bottom of the valley was 47 deg on my phone and of course everything that goes down has to come up again. The last 15 minutes to the restaurant were a killer.2.5 Kms, took 2 and a half hours. The large Charma was very welcome.

I was glad I went though
It was well laid out with lots of info about the plants, esp medicinal and edible ones.

Back to hotel by 3.30 and straight to the pool. Though it had clouded over and got very windy it was still 33 deg.

I had a cocktail and a G&T before dinner but went to bed straight after. My legs were dirking and the early need from Germany was not good.
