Wound up in Wexford

I took part in a Pattern today.  Pattern, derived from patron (saint) is the term used for a yearly dedication/religious service.  Today, a pattern at the Paupers' Graveyard in Wexford.  This is a yearly event, and the HFC concert band attend, to play for the hymns.

The ceremony was extended today by the dedication of a new monument.  It was recently discovered that, in addition to the unknown number of paupers in the graveyard, there were 27, similarly unknown, people from the wreck of the Pomona buried in the Graveyard.  So today, a new monument to remember these people was unveiled.

My blip is the official photographer trying to herd the assembled dignitaries for an commemorative photograph.

It was a cold, but sunny evening.  Earlier in the day our attempts to continue planting were interrupted by several heavy rain showers.

I've added a couple of extras of the monuments.
