Day Lily
We were up early but had a leisurely morning. I enjoyed breakfast on the porch. Hubby joined me for a bit. He reconciled his accounts. I decided to reorganize our canned food cabinet, finished packing for the weekend and changed the linens. We had two loads of laundry but that’s one household task I enjoy. Parker’s uniform is a blue color that is hard to match. I bought two new shirts but they are not an exact match. They needed to be ironed. We like to dress in the team colors when we go to the kids’ games. My sister and BIL stopped by. We haven’t seen them for a few weeks; both families are fully involved with summer activities. She brought me a red hot poker plant and we shared our blueberries with them. I checked my garden and found we have a few day lilies blooming. Hubby had an appointment with a new podiatrist. He’s going to pick up a few groceries and lunch. We have a Knight’ event tonight. Hopefully it won’t last long. We have a long drive tomorrow; Parker’s first game is at 10:00. We’ll spend the night and come home at the end of the tournament on Sunday. The weather is forecasted to be warm and sunny both days. Have a wonderful safe weekend. Thanks for visiting. “Nature doesn't disdain what lives only for a day. It pours the whole of itself into the each moment. We don't value the lily less for not being made of flint and built to last.” - Tom Stoppard
