The accidental finding

Stratford Park lake

Today is Indie's birthday. She is seven. She was born in Derbyshire, was sold as a breeding queen and moved to mid-Wales. She raised three litters and was then retired. When she proved too feisty as an ordinary cat in a multi-cat household, she was sold to us. We drove to Llangorse to collect her. This seemed daring at the time, although permitted. The Omicron  variant was raging throughout the four nations. We brought her home and she hid behind the sofa for several hours. She still.looked like a kitten.

The following week, I caught CoVid for the first time. It wasn't long before Steve got it too. Indie proved an excellent companion for the bed bound. It's been love and trouble ever since. I bought her some special food for her birthday present, but I don't think she likes it. I should have remembered to take her to a tasting session....

This is Stratford Park lake, which I passed on my way to Paganhill. Had a successful meeting with a client in a church. Her choice of venue. Steve and I also went to the Trinity rooms for lunch, where we connected with friends old and new.

I've also managed to walk almost 10,000 step today, after a week of almost zero walking, owing to a bad back. Things are looking up.

Germany has just scored against Scotland in the first match of Euro '24. Uh oh.
