Sunrise Walk

We started our walk about 6am from Frikes harbour (Ithaca, Ionian Islands, Greece) which is a six mile walk up the mountain down to Marmakas Beach and back up and over to Afales Bay before returning to Frikes, taking about three hours.

We watched the sunrise which wasn't very colourful, but after a couple of miles and getting to Marmakas Beach looking out to the island, the sun was up and producing a lovely early morning glow. Good to see a yacht anchored in the bay, but no birds photo-bombed the frame!

Just entering Frikes village near the end of the walk was the mule in the extra. You don't see many and Mrs BB recognised it immediately as she's into all things equestrian and a very good rider.

It's been extremely windy this afternoon and we had an hour on a beach called Skinari outside Frikes.  After a home made salad last night I've decided we're eating out!
