Sudbury, Suffolk
We are having a couple of days break from our 'very busy' existence and are in the historical town of Sudbury. This little town tucked away on the Suffolk Essex border is just an hour and a half from London but a world away in terms of life. It was at one stage one of the wealthiest towns in Britain being at the heart of the wool and silk business, it was also the home town of British painter Thomas Gainsborough and the museum here holds the largest collection of his paintings, we will visit it this morning. We are staying in a converted mill surrounded by water meadows and the main photo is taken from our window.
