Orkney with Sun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There’s been a strange orange orb in the sky today.  Someone phoned the Bobbies; within minutes the fire brigade turned up with a ladder.  Before we knew it there was a regular bourach* of fortune-tellers, candy floss sellers, sideshows, and someone selling an inflatable Icarus.  We are sick of the heat.  Although do note well CMC’s quilted jacket and toorie.  The barometer’s now falling amazingly and it has no safety net.  In the pm CMC departed for her stint** in the Cat Charity shop in Stromness and I spent an age invoking the spirit of Victor Meldrew during a prolonged exchange of messages from the bank that supplies ‘support services’ to the Hoy Kirk.
