Grass Cutting

The playing fields would normally have transitioned into summer use by now, but the wet weather has prevented regular grass cutting and removal of the goal posts on the pitches,

The grass was finally cut on Monday, leaving lots of cut grass across the area.  It means it will be sometime before cricket can be played on the newly installed artificial pitch, courtesy of a development programme from the English Cricket Board (ECB). Even now some areas can’t be cut because the ground is still waterlogged.
