Kye at Shandrick

Mostly cloudy, some sunny spells, the odd shower, cold and windy. 

Up at 5am again, another early shift in the airport.  A busy morning of passengers, quieter in the afternoon.  I was meeting and boarding flights this morning, check-in desk in the afternoon.  Mostly all on time.  A quick walk on my way home, then popped by Madeline's.  Working in the shop this evening, a fairly quiet night.  Walkies with Sammy, then feet up. 

I've been seeing some calves to and from work over the past while, so today I stopped off to snap a photo of them.  As I stood in the field, the crofter came down to see  what I was up to.  Turned out to be Ewan Thomson, who featured on Channel 5 Shetland; Scotland's Wondrous Isles, he's the fiddle maker.  We had a good chat, telling me all about his cows, fiddles and life in Fair Isle.  Ewan's brown cow and calves, Shandrick (Channerwick).
