Memories

In the midst of a lunch party I try to be unobtrusive when I take my photo, and today I found these log baskets when I went outside to pay a visit, Blip done!
We had driven to near Basingstoke for an annual lunch of “The Widows”. In his teens Norman was part of a group of six lads. They remained friends through jobs, National Service, marriage, families etc. Sadly, as you will guess by the name we call the group five out of the six have died, and Norman is the one remaking member of the group, The wives have remained friends through all these years and are happy to meet for lunch with Norman, the “last man standing” . They come from quite a distance and look forward to the lunch every time. Lots of memories.
