Eagles!

Had a dip, followed by a chilled morning as I knew I'd be on my feet for a large part of the late afternoon and evening. I emptied the tub and cleaned it, using the water to water the pants. Peas and lettuce are looking good. Made a substantial lunch to keep me going until much later.
The whole ground is buzzing on a T20 Friday night game, though a very different crowd. Instead of families, it's alot of all male groups on the beer! Some can be quite intimidating and get a bit carried away with their want to have photos with the mascots. I just told them to take it easy, I have a cricket bat and I will use it!! It was only a toy plastic one, but they got the gist of it! Fk was more vocal, giving out his 4's & 6's as his confidence grows. Great to see. Ali and Bill loved it at the River gate and gave away near 3000 cards! Many regulars/staff were surprised to see me in a work T-shirt.  After all the years being here...they've finally got me!! After the way I was this time last year....I just felt very grateful and blessed. Spent the last hour with MrK and the boys. Luke had been d-jing in the fanzone area. An Essex win by the skin of their teeth and middle order collapse! It looked like they'd thrown it away. Just added to the excitement.
