Dolly's Day

Supporting Newcastle United.

Pottered around at home getting a few chores out of the way then in the afternoon I walked down to the village. Dropped off a bag of stuff at the Barnardos charity shop then did the usual food shopping in Herons and Tesco.  Had 3 parcels to collect in Tesco.

The weather was dry on the way down to the shops but it rained as I was walking home.  And later on we even had hailstones.  Crazy weather for June.

The Mono Monday theme today is " a hobby you enjoy".  Apart from blipping I don't really have any hobbies --- I don't knit or sew, don't read much, don't collect stamps etc but I wondered if following my favourite football team Newcastle United counted as a hobby.

Google was helpful ...... " a hobby  is defined as an activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure”  so based upon that definition you could call following your favourite sports team a hobby. But the term hobby is usually used to describe other pastimes such as gardening, collecting stamps or coins and the like."

I've stuck with my original idea anyway as following Newcastle United also involves collecting various bits and bobs such as fridge magnets, mugs, coasters, hats, scarves, badges etc.  I've blipped a few items - I have lots more. Thanks to Pinkhairedlady for hosting the challenge.

Today marks 13 years since I started blipping. I love being part of this wonderful community. Thank you to everyone who comments on my blips and gives them a star or a heart. And thanks to the folk who are behind the scenes keeping the site running smoothly.  I've made many friends on this site and its extra special to have met a lot of you in person.  Blipmeets are great.
