LITTLE TROLL
First of all I must thank everyone who commented and left stars and hearts on my blip yesterday. Reading all the lovely comments confirmed my opinion that blippers are a great bunch.
Today I decided to go to the retail park on the outskirts of Newcastle. I used to get there by bus and metro but now the number 1 bus which I catch near my house runs right past the retail park on its way to the coast. It takes a while to get there but at least its only one journey.
A few of the shops at the retail park have closed since I was last there but the ones I wanted to go in were still open... T K Maxx, Marks and Spencers and Asda. I got a T Shirt in M & S and then some food shopping in Asda. It was raining the whole time I was there.
There wasn't a return number one bus due for a while so I got a metro to Newcastle and then straight on to a bus home. Still raining when I got off the bus. I put the heating on when I got indoors as I was damp and cold.
The Tiny Tuesday theme today is " a tiny toy ". I've blipped a tiny toy troll doll that used to belong to my daughter Becky so its probably around 35 years old. These trolls were very popular when Becky was little and she had quite a collection ranging from small ones like this to large soft ones wearing lovely dresses. Thanks to sk for hosting.
Troll dolls - also known as Dam Trolls - were created in 1959 by Danish fisherman and woodcutter Thomas Dam. His company began producing the dolls in plastic under the name Good Luck Trolls . The Toy Industry Association named troll dolls in its Century of Toys List - a list of the 100 most memorable and most creative toys of the 20th century.
I've added an Extra - a gorgeous dog that was on my bus. He was so well behaved.
