He’s back

This morning, the spotted flycatcher came back and posed beautifully to have his/her photograph taken. I had been wandering round the garden with my Canon SLR practising using it after months of using my compact camera or my phone. I am off on another adventure in three weeks time and I want to take the Canon with me so I need to make sure that I am comfortable with it.
There’s still a cool breeze blowing in from the north-west but the sun shines most of the time so it can be quite warm in a sheltered corner, as Nick and Bertie discovered this afternoon when they went to the Community Orchard to do a bit more work while I went to church.
