A day in the life

Contrast

Election day for the European parliament. I've voted for a party that supports my beliefs and my personal hope that the right wing in Europe will be held back. According to the polls oozing out of my Tv, the opposite seems to be what we have to expect. I am concerned.

The results from the election seems reflected in the weather, we've had hard, gusty winds, up to 20m/s and some minor showers. Towards the evening I got out for a walk, everything has calmed down quite a lot but the blip shows the contrasts I can see from home. Rain over the mainland, sun on my island. The rain didn't make it over the sound between the mainland and the island so I had a nice walk, inspecting how the strawberries are doing, the red gold of this island. I've seen them sold since last Sunday, which I think is a little early to normal. They taste ok, fresh from the plant.
