Day One

It was definitely a Monday. Super busy with a few things going awry.

My company has been bought by another company and so today was Day One of the operation to fold us into the existing business. All things considered, it went fairly smoothly, but there were a few glitches and concerns along the way with a couple of stalwarts and grafters in my team having their noses put out of joint by some ill-considered remarks from the new squad, which I am REALLY hoping is not a sign of things to come…

It was not without relief that the computer was turned off at the end of the day and my attention turned on getting the wee ones to cricket for a match and training. With some additional company in tow (including a guest appearance from The Eldest), we drove the short distance up in Big Blue, opened the back doors and sat on the sofa watching the scene play out beneath us.

It was great to watch The Youngest hit a four and clean bowl an opponent. 

I wonder what Day Two will bring?
