Rode home the very long way on Biscuit this morning. Youngest had requested a fresh Tiger bread from Lidl. With Nightshift afternoons for doing not a lot, an extended commute was decided upon, waving work behind at 07:00 & Lidl's stores opening at 08:00.

So with an hour to kill that left some time for enjoying wind in the hair...face and doing a recce for blips & ride-by Lion Foundry item spotting.

I had a blip in mind for today but had a change of heart following Ms Arell casually mentioning last night the words Phonebox and Phriday. Said blip idea was 1st stop, busy with passing pedestrians and more suitable for a Sunday morning grab me-reckons.

2nd stop was a nip into the house for a shopping bag and seeing if a few other bits needed to be added to the shopping list.

3rd was the blip, a lovely K6 reached down a country lane near Glossop. HashTagNotaLion but nevermind. Picture snapped. Ride on Sister.

This was followed by looping along the Derbyshire Level that leads to the foot of the Snake Pass road...mmm the Snake Pass will have to wait for another ride...instead rolling back towards Glossop before turning right into Old Glossop (some lovely stone buildings here) to find another K6 & unusual Pillar Box to be looked at again sometimes.

Lidl next, stop no.4, for that little shopping list. And then back to Hyde and spotting two interesting Postboxes en-route - one a possible Lion (yay!) and the other a very ornately cyphered one nothing like the usually royally monogrammed affairs.

Oh, and then bed. Zzz. Am now a few hours into Nightshift number 3. Enjoy your respective weekends :-)
