The little ...

... fosters.

I know I've been posting a lot of bird pictures this week ... this will be five in a row if you count back to Sunday's Blue Jay!  But I simply had to show you all the four little Carolina wren 'fosters' that we are watching over.  What started as one falling from the nest in the insulation in the ceiling of the garage has turned into four!  

But at least now they are all together for the parents to better care for them.  And they are doing a fantastic job at it, too.  We have set up a wildlife camera so we can keep an eye on the little ones and the comings and goings of the parents.  It's been fun watching their growth and we can't wait until the time comes for them to leave the 'nest' ... which in this case is a box!  Please have a look full screen.

I've added into Extras another fledge ... a common grackle fledge I was after yesterday.  This is just one of many!  'Tis that time of year. I'm hoping the next bird I feature here will be a hummingbird ... but they have been very elusive this year.
