I Witness

Chippy Blip Friday ...

... waving hello.

Or is this little chipmunk waving thanks?  Or did I simply get lucky?  :-)

Today was a lovely spring like day ... lots of sunshine and moderate temperatures.  We waited until after supper to get out for a walk at Housenick Memorial Park.

But before that we had some excitement regarding the Carolina wren fledges.  When we were leaving for our walk I stepped into the garage (we are currently leaving one of our vehicles outside so we don't have to worry about accidently harming any of the fledges.) and found one of the fledges under the back of the car that's still in the garage.  And then we found another one!  That left only two in the nest box.  One of the parents came into the garage with some morsel for them.  It appeared to me that this adult went to one the loose fledges to feed it.

We left at that point for our walk and left the two loose fledges and the adults to sort it all out.  We were going to try to return the two fledges to the nest box when we returned ... but to our astonishment they were both back in the nest box when we got back!  Not sure how that happened but we were relieved.  They are all still in the box as I post this on Saturday morning with the parents coming in to feed them all.

In other news: Richard had his last day of work today. He is officially retired  graduated from the work force.  (He doesn't like the word "retired".)
