This morning I went to look at something I was considering buying for my sister for her birthday. A lady living nearby rehabilitates discarded furniture and other objects and turns them into beautiful useful items which are also works of art using decoupage and free hand painting. She then sells them by advertising on marketplace and other online sites. Her profits are given to a charity.
We gave her a couple of items last year and I was delighted when a battered China cabinet was given a new lease of life and sold for over£300. It's being shipped to London.
The item I was considering buying featured the bee image in my blip. In the end I bought something else which I hope she will be pleased with.
We next headed to have a new battery fitted into Colin's old iphone so he can put a spare SIM in it when we are on holiday. While we were waiting we headed out to Whitmuir where we missed theChimp and theBear by a whisker I think.
When I walked into the cafe the first thing I saw was this cushion featuring the very same bee image as was on the box I was considering buying.
