Sunshine over the narrows….

…..but dark clouds over the hill.
I left home this morning wearing a jacket because the forecast was for showers but I wish I had also worn a hat and gloves! But it’s June, who wears a hat and gloves in June? I could certainly have done with them as I walked into the icy wind coming from the Polar air mass to the north of the UK. However, Bertie and I were very fortunate that it stayed dry for our walk, despite there being some ominous clouds around. It was later in the morning that they dumped their load of rain and hailstones, preceded by a flash of lightning and the loudest clap of thunder that I have ever experienced! Bertie, who hasn’t seemed bothered when there has been thunder around, was very bothered today and it took him a while to calm down, poor fella.
