Spot the flycatcher

P and A came round to have a look for the spotted flycatcher that is visiting our garden at the moment and the brought the Lovely Lucy and puppy Hallie with them so Bertie was delighted. After a coffee and lots of scanning of trees and bushes, our patience was finally rewarded as the lovely little bird did several loops of flight between branches and posed beautifully on our rock feature (but I didn’t have my camera handy.)
Later I made some tea cakes for Nick before sowing some seeds in the vegepod and polytunnel. Eventually, midges stopped play when the wind dropped so I took Bertie for a walk and left the midges behind.
