How wonderful can Social Networking be?

Jack and Susan are friend's of Boy. I spotted on one site yesterday that they had been queuing for Murray Mound since 6am... I asked by chance if they got in, could he grab a photo for me to use for today (Sunday).

Look what he did! Amazing eh?

They got right to the front and probably almost exploded with excitement along with the rest of the country, and all the colours and all the nationalities, and he remembered me!

You are a star, Jack.

(He also plays the bagpipes amazingly well) (And does Fire Poi - Although outside my house at 1230 am in the morning, with 50 underage drinkers was probably not the best place to demonstrate) LOL

When Social Networking works, it works beautifully well.

Another friend on Blip, announced his retirement yesterday.

I was confused. I thought he was an educationalist. I couldn't understand why he was retiring on a Sunday. For the first time, I googled him! And then I giggled. For three years, Mr Smith and I have commented back and forward; he laughs at my Mothership remarks, and says "for someone who proclaims a lack of faith, you seem to have it in abundance".

And Rev. Smith, you have restored my faith in the Clergy. You are the one man of your ilk who has not judged me, or tried to tell me my thoughts were not the right ones. The realisation of who you were yesterday made me smile and gave me a very warm feeling in my heart. I don't think you should have retired, you are exactly the right man for the job. :-)
