Crazy Coll weather

**Stop press** Extra extra of the rainbow from through our bedroom window at 20:30.
--------

Just 30 minutes before I took this photo at Bàghan Traillech, Mr hazelh and I had been showered by hailstones!

The weather has been so bizarre on Coll today. A biting wind has been the only constant. This has blown hundreds of clouds over the island, some of which dropped rain on us while we were sitting on the beach reading our books. It looks like tomorrow will bring similar weather, with a 'feels like' temperature at breakfast time of just four degrees centigrade!

We had Bàghan Traillech to ourselves today. There weren't even any seals there (as was the case on our last visit two years ago). The cold may have put off other visitors. A further disincentive to reach this beach is that it is a bit of a trek to it from the 'main' road and over the dunes. I took the photo in my extra on the way to the beach in case we got lost on the way back looking for our bikes. At the time, I hadn't realised that it was such a pretty shot. It shows the terrain between the road and the beach.

This evening we went out for dinner at the Coll hotel. We enjoyed a lovely meal sandwiched between two chilly walks.

Exercise today: a little cycling and a little walking (7,149 steps).
