I expect by now you recognise the décor at my regular Sunday afternoon live music haunt. It's a windowless venue and because of that they close during summer. So this Sunday was the final event of the season and all my pals were keen to be there. For me it was touch-and-go because a very dear friend for 40 years was coming to visit and I really wasn't sure if he was robust enough for this kind of event. I am so glad to report that he was and we all had a wonderful last hurrah at Esquires. The place was rammed and the band excellent – The Ex-Certs if you care to know.
