I think I've mentioned before that when a shop closes in Bedford its front windows aren't smeared with opaque window-creme, but instead, the frontage is used to showcase a local artist. I think it's a double-whammy win-win – the town centre doesn't look post-apocalyptic and art gets a platform. Here's a natty bridal gown made from supermarket carrier bags. Yay!

I mention this now because it appears I took no photos at all on Saturday when I was helping my friend with his leaflet-drop on behalf of the Green Party(*).
*Nothing at all to do with the General Election – these are regular local council leaflets to do with day-to-day issues like pot-holes, refuse collection and inspirational improvements to leisure facilities.
I've never done a leaflet-drop before but I'll definitely be doing it again – It gets you right up close to some beautiful front doors. . .

Prior to Saturday I had noticed some hayfever symptoms confined to my left eye. After that irritation went away I've realised that the blocked left ear that has troubled me since January seems to have cleared up as well. No blocked ear, no hearing aid, another double-whammy. Hurrah!

But harrumph! The hearing aids supplied to me came in that same pinky-colour we can associate with general use sticking plasters.
I was a teeneager when I first noticed this tilted perception of “skin-tone” and it bothers me that even now l have still never seen either sticking plasters or hearing aids in darker tones.
Please tell me that this is because the colour-match is so good I've been unable to notice them in use and not that plastic can't be made in shades of brown.
