Baneri gweddi

Baneri gweddi ~ Prayer flags

“Gwna dda dros ddrwg, uffern ni’th ddwg.
(Repay evil with good, and hell will not claim you.)
― Rose W. A., A Little Book of Welsh Proverbs

Mae gyda ni nifer o faneri gweddi Tibetaidd, wedi'u dwyn yn ôl o wahanol deithiau. Roeddwn i'n meddwl heddiw fy mod i'w rhoi i fyny i addurno o gwmpas y cwt.

Yn ôl Wikipedia: 'Mae Tibetiaid yn credu y bydd y gweddïau a'r mantras yn cael eu chwythu gan y gwynt i ledaenu'r ewyllys da a'r tosturi i bob gofod treiddiol.'

Rydw i'w ffeindio ysbrydoliaeth i greu cornel bach o'r traddodiad Tibet ar ben ein gardd ni.

We have a number of Tibetan prayer flags, brought back from various trips. I thought today I should put them up to decorate around the hut.

According to Wikipedia: 'Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be blown by the wind to spread the good will and compassion into all pervading space'

I find it an inspiration to create a small corner of the Tibetan tradition at the top of our garden.
