Snookered!

Much better night sleep thankfully. Horrid rainy day. Email back from Coningsby...all visits suspended. I'm not surprised, so a quick rethink while FK got ready led me to National Trust Tattershall Castle just 10mins away. Unfortunately, closed, even in half term. Drove back to a grizzly Woodhall Spa for a little wander in the shops, spending most time in an amazing, large,  independent book shop, with a second hand section at the back. Joy. We then went into the pub for dinner and a dry off. We started working on an application for Work Experience at BAE systems on my phone, so I think he'll have to start again when we get home, but it's planted a seed. We then went to see the Kinema in the woods, not for a film, but for all it's memorabilia.
We parked  the car back at the hotel and in an incredible dry window of an hour, we walked over to Jubilee Park to have mess about in the outdoor heated pool...diving for the weight and races. It was good fun and we laughed a lot! Back at the hotel, we played on the full size snooker table....one frame took over an hour! It was very big! We then went into the bar for a snack and a game of scrabble.
I've enjoyed simple things today, and spending time with my precious boy.
