Soulful

Not just a wonderfully sunny day today, but a good one for the soul too.

This morning, Ali and I did our final (hopefully) recce for the three peaks and saw bits of the Shropshire countryside that we hadn’t seen before, which is always a joy. A varied route of hills and magical forests, made all the better by being in the sun.

I spent the bulk of the afternoon in the garden reading, interrupted only by Grace coming to visit, fresh from a half term in Malaysia.

Then the most stunning gig at the Hive in the evening. A very ‘intimate’ crowd which was surprising because it was one of the very best gigs I’ve ever been too. The kind of gig that you smile your way through so much that your face hurts a little bit afterwards. The music and the messages were uplifting and I didn’t want to leave.

A late night cycle home and a quick doorstep chat with Becky before bed.
