Bowood Woodland Gardens (Friday 31st May 2024)

There was work being done in the Old Forge and its outbuilding today so I spent some of the afternoon at the Bowood Woodland Gardens to be out of the way while the bathroom was given an overhaul. It closes for the year on Sunday so this fourth visit may be the last.

I spent most of my time there today in the Jubilee Garden, including some reading time, though it was a bit dull and chilly. I'm intrigued by this plant, if anyone knows what it is (another view of it in Extras, along with another budding plant).

P.S. I’ve been told that the plant is a Candelabrum Primula ‘Millers Crimson’ (primula japonica).
