Bella Onstage!

Three months ago I revealed that Bella had taken a risk. She loves working in theatre, but until this term, she never chose to be onstage. She designs sets, works backstage, and is good at many kinds of stagecraft, but this past March, she auditioned to be part of the chorus for this term's play, a rather nasty musical called Mean Girls, which I assume was chosen because it has a large number of roles for girls. (Girls competing for the attention of boys, girls being nasty to each other, girls eventually learning, in an unconvincing finale, that if they share the "crown" they will all be like stars in the sky. Ugh.) I think cuts in funding for the arts in schools is to blame, with one tired (male) teacher as a one-person theatre department. 

Bella had one line to deliver, which I felt she delivered very competently (see extra). 

When I have a chance to see her privately, I will ask what she learned from the experience.
