Leatherhead

I walked up Leatherhead High Street this morning remembering how it used to be when we first moved to the area. It was a busy shopping street with narrow pavements and two way traffic squeezing past. I remember driving down there when I first passed my test and it was nerve wracking. Now the street is pedestrianised, many of the interesting shops have disappeared and have been replaced by cafes and coffee shops with tables out on the pavement. Recently some huge wooden planters have appeared. People complained that they are ugly but now they have been planted. (Extra)
