Wild Meadow

What a lovely day together at Hyde Hall.
MrK had a few work bits to do before we left, so I had time for my dip and readings. We got there not long after it had opened so it wasn't too crowded and a nice temperature. We talked and walked our way to the top, through the cottage and winter gardens, and paused for coffee and cake, before wandering through the rose garden, fantasia and vegetable gardens. We then went and sat in the wildflower meadow, with a glorious view over new vineyards called Missing Gate.
The meadow wasn't fully out, but it was lovely to walk through the mown pathways and watch, orange and blue butterflies and dragonflies.
I purchased the last  beautiful pale peach iris that had caught my eye in the cottage garden and we made our way to Butt's Green Nursery to sit in the sun for a sandwich.
I felt incredibly blessed to have this quality time with him.
As FK & I are away next week in half term, MrK took us all out for tea at Greek Bites in Moulsham St where we watched some of yr13's continue their end of school celebrations!
A beautiful day.
