I heard it coming

When we were out for the walk this afternoon there was the familiar sound of a Chinook approaching. It gave me time to get the phone out to take a picture.

I had an early start this morning. It was daylight, three big black  crows were on the edge of the grass outside and one of them was raising merry hell at the other two, it went on for ages until I got up, opened the window and shouted at them. This was 5am !!  Fortunately I did manage to get back to sleep. 

I had already chosen a blip before the helicopter arrived on the scene, but that’s now in extras, the flowers that came by post yesterday. They are opening up beautifully. 

Finally I completed the first of four birds that will head for Canada in the autumn. This is Hoopoe !!!!
