A star is born!
We’ve had an amazing day today.
Eda has been in her first ever stage production this afternoon - a junior version of Roald Dahl’s ‘Matilda’ by her Bath theatre group ‘Curtain Up’ at the Roper Theatre.
Grace had to take Jengi cat to the vet this morn for a blood test this morning in Larkhall, she called into the magic charity shop and bought this dress. Of course there was only one and it is Eda’s size but fits Jude quite well too.
Eda has had two smaller red versions of this dress brought back from Spain by me, one of which is still in the dressing up box. Of course they both want this pink version!
It was agreed she could wear until she had to get ready to go to the theatre.
We had to have her there for 1.00 so once dropped off we went down Moorland Road which seems to have lots of charity shops. Back to the theatre quite early as Grace was helping out on the bar, of course Jude wore the dress to the theatre.
It was a fabulous show and for a six year old Eda did a brilliant job, nit phased by being on a stage with an audience at all. Lots of Graces friends with children came as it’s half term and they were all waiting for her as she came out. Grace had bought her a bunch of red roses too so she was as pleased as punch.
A group of the friends came back to the house and it was so warm and sunny by now that we all ate outside.
I dint know if it was the bunch of red roses but for some reason they were playing weddings. All but one child was involved, a bride, two bridesmaids and a willing groom! Jude by this time was having sleep.
She will do another show on Saturday afternoon. The group has run two casts for Matilda on alternate afternoons and the older children are doing Les Miserable in the evenings. Quite a feat!
