Wild
I love the wild things that pop up in the garden (mostly!)
I’ve been waiting for this foxglove to open, thought it was going to be white but it has a touch of mauve. So lovely.
The wild things come up wherever they want and this one is at the end of our patio between the bench and the green house wall, not the easiest spot to get in for a photograph.
I had planned to get a picture of the odd orange flowered Welsh poppy amongst the many yellow for Flower Friday but they have been battered by the rain. There is a single one by the bin screen which you can see in the extra.
You can see there are rain drops on them. We had a shower mid morning and last night returning from Ilkley it was very damp and misty - murky over the moors. The road was closed when we started to drop down into Bingley so we had to turn back and go through Gilstead and then came to town centre traffic lights that were stuck on red! Never mind we’d really enjoyed the live screening of ‘SIX’ with the original cast.
It has been quite grey all morning but it’s pretty warm. I walked on to Woodbank garden centre and took a jacket just in case but it was far too warm to wear it. More warmth tomorrow we’re told. Have a good weekend everyone!
