Bamburgh Dunes

I probably went out a bit too early this afternoon. The weather has improved a lot since I got back and it's a lovely evening out there now. I headed out to Embleton Bay but when I got there it was a steady drizzle so I didn't bother to stop. I went through Seahouses and as I got close to Bambrugh the rain had stopped. I managed to park beside the road by the dunes on the south side and followed the coast path through the dunes. When I saw the pond I realised it would make a good shot so walked further into the dunes to get this angle. Looking at the OS map, I think this must be the site of an early medieval burial ground for the castle which was the subject of an archeological research project a few years ago.
