The Path Through the Dunes

Cresswell Beach is at the south end of Druridge Bay and not too far away from Morpeth, where we're staying with Marian's sister. Having already done a lot of driving I didn't want to go too far this afternoon. I left the house in bright sunshine but I could see some big dark clouds coming as I drove to the coast and the sky opened shortly before I got there. As I arrived the rain stopped and I thought I might get an interesting sky.

I love these marram grass covered dunes. We're looking southish and the tide is very low revealing 'The Scars' offshore.
