The Outside Garden

Once upon a time this bit of garden was a wasteland of scrubby bushes that was impossible to manage. Several years ago it was terraced and planted and looked great. The head gardener got complements for it but over the years the plants have fought against the wooden parts that kept the terrace in place and something needed to be done.

She's been speaking with a team we used on another job and they turned up today to clear all the old stuff out. The whole road will be closed for resurfacing next week so they won't be able to do any more for a bit. I thought it would be good to record it and I was pleased to see this clump of aubretia growing on the kerb to give me some colour and foreground interest.
