Nuphar lutea, with additional aquatic insect

Walking beside the canal again, I saw this lovely yellow flower. I've discovered it is a Nuphar lutea, otherwise called the yellow water-lily, brandy-bottle or spadderdock. What great names.

I hadn't noticed the insect climbing onto the smaller flower, until I looked back at the pictures. I've no idea what it is.
