A grey day with some
rain to dampen those wildfires
now in the province

Somehow I managed to sleep in until well after 6 AM. No doubt it was the lack of sunshine that deceived my brain. I got myself out the door with a grocery list heading for Tranquille.

I did the shopping first, then drove right out to the Tranquille overlook for a panorama. The wetlands continues to expand as the river floods the pasture lands. What was the calving grounds earlier will become wetlands. 

I didn't see any sign of the osprey. I waited patiently but could see no heads above the nest and no osprey flew into the area. 

I caught a robin near the pond, then I found a crow in the osprey's usual tree. It must be imagining life as an osprey. 

I got a look south across the water channels to the river beyond. I looked east to my mountains. 

I have a company coming to pack my downstairs' rubbish to the landfill this morning. We have to make room for the new flooring that's to be organized soon. I'll stay put today. There could be some meatballs for dinner.
