.. They Shall Come! 

Well, I have at least one customer! My makeshift bird bath is pretty much hidden from view if I am sitting in my usual spots...so perhaps, unbeknownst to me, there have been LOTS of birds drinking and bathing? Whatever, it does look promising and I shall go looking at birdbaths...

This was an "If-only-I-had-a-video-camera-in-hand" day.. This afternoon I heard a "whole lotta squawkin' going on" out back...and rushed out to see what was happening. I looked up and saw some black birds ( red-winged? starlings? Crows?) chasing and attacking a hawk? Say what? My neighbour Elaine had told me a couple of weeks ago, that she had seen just that and I found it hard to believe...but here they were - at it again.....

Well, that sent me to the internet.. and I now understand, and have more respect for those bullying but brave black birds that devour all the birdseed in my feeders in one visit! 

It is amazing the things I do not know!
