So Stobo

Didn't swim but it was fair when I got up (no rain!) so after breakfast I painted the front rails and did the wee touch up bits to N the shed. Then it rained and it was very heavy by the time I got down to WPR to feed Alfie. Strangely there was no sign of rain when I got back up to Liberton.

Drove down to Innerleithen via Bonnyrig and amazing views back across the valley to the Pentlands though Edinburgh was under the black clouds.

Had food in the Traqiair Arms and then walked round to Robert Smail's printing works. Very interesting hour and three quarters and a chance to try some printing.

Finally drive wing the valley to Stobo. Again I have a single room in the semi basement. Straight to the pool where there was a short wait for a free lounger. I was so tired I just want to lie and decompress with my book. Which is what I did interspersed with time in the pool. It always gets really quiet once the day trippers have gone home.

The evening was a Mojito, dinner and then bed. When I booked this break I'd imagined an evening walk in the ground on a warm May evening. 'Twas not to be.
