Through the window

I chose this particular window as I thought the shape of the alliums would look good in mono, for this week's Mono Monday challenge, with thanks to host Carolina.  I also added a white spotlight. As the colours are so spectacular, I've included a colour version as an Extra.

As it's Bank Holiday, and Mr B was back home from a night away, we didn't go to Family B's house today, so I've nursed my cold at home. The good news is that I slept well last night, propped up on my back for ease of breathing with a blocked nose.

Meeting a friend for lunch tomorrow, but I should be a lot better by then, I hope. It is 'only' a classic cold-in-the-head. Sunny but windy, with a brief downpour late afternoon, just as Mr PP finished cutting the lawn. Phew! Nice and sunny again now!

Through two other windows today I saw, respectively, a tiny common blue butterfly, and a sparrow feeding its baby. Couldn't find my camera. (Turned out to be in the car!)
